Kitchen Cabinetry

Kitchen cabinetry for Shalvey homes.

Family kitchens work hardest in the drawers and pantry, so we plan the cabinetry around what is stored where, then match the island, tall cabinets and overheads.

Island and peninsula cabinetry

Drawers on the working side, seating or shelving on the other, with panels finished to match.

Pantry and tall storage

Larder cabinets, pull-out pantries and appliance housings in full-height runs.

Drawer banks and hardware

Deep drawers with soft-close runners, internal organisers and handles chosen with the door style.

Before you enquire

Kitchen cabinetry questions in Shalvey.

Will the island cabinetry match the rest of the kitchen?

Yes. The island is made in our workshop with the rest of the cabinetry, so the doors, panels, kickboards and hardware match, and the seating overhang is planned with the benchtop.

How long does custom kitchen cabinetry take to make and install?

Cabinetry is usually made in our workshop in about 4–8 weeks once the design is confirmed, then usually takes a day or two on site to install. The exact timeline depends on the number of cabinets, the finish and any appliance integration. You get a realistic schedule with your quote.

What is included in kitchen cabinetry and joinery?

It covers the cabinet-making core of the kitchen: doors, drawers, pantries, overhead and tall cabinets, island and appliance cabinetry, plus the soft-close hinges, runners and handles. The cabinetry is made to measure and can be planned as a standalone job or part of a full kitchen.

Can you replace just the kitchen cabinets and keep the rest?

Yes. If the layout still works, we can replace the cabinetry on its own and keep your existing benchtop, splashback or appliances where it makes sense. A cabinetry-only upgrade is a faster, lower-cost way to refresh a tired kitchen.

What cabinet door style and finish should I choose?

Shaker doors suit classic and Hamptons-style kitchens, flat-panel and handleless profiles suit a contemporary look, and finishes range from painted and laminate to timber veneer. We help you weigh durability, cleaning and look against your benchtop and the rest of the home.
