Splashbacks
The splashback is the part of the kitchen your eye lands on every time you cook, so we plan it to sit right with your benchtop and cabinetry and to wipe clean in seconds.
A splashback protects the busiest wall in the kitchen and ties the whole room together. H&R Kitchens plans and fits kitchen splashbacks for homes across Sydney — glass, tile and stone — coordinated with your benchtop, cabinetry colours and appliance positions, whether it is a straight replacement splashback or part of a full kitchen we design, build and install in-house.

What we cover
A splashback protects the busiest wall in the kitchen and ties the whole room together. H&R Kitchens plans and fits kitchen splashbacks for homes across Sydney — glass, tile and stone — coordinated with your benchtop, cabinetry colours and appliance positions, whether it is a straight replacement splashback or part of a full kitchen we design, build and install in-house.
What's includedWe start at the measure, looking at the splashback alongside the benchtop, the cabinetry colour and where the cooktop, rangehood and powerpoints land. That way the joins, cut-outs and edges are worked out before anything is cut, and the finished wall reads as one clean line rather than an afterthought.
Because we design, build and install in-house, the splashback is treated as part of the cabinetry job rather than a separate trade you have to chase. We measure up the actual wall, allow for any out-of-square corners, and align the splashback height and reveals with the cabinetry and benchtop so the detailing stays tight.
Glass splashbacks come in any colour you like, in a gloss or low-sheen finish, and can be backlit for a soft glow behind the bench. Tile runs from classic subway through to large-format and feature tile, and stone or porcelain splashbacks can be cut to match the benchtop for a continuous look. Each one has its own clean-ability: glass and stone wipe down in one pass with no grout lines, while tile gives you more pattern and colour to play with.
The main cost drivers are the material you choose (tile, glass or stone), the size and shape of the wall, and how many cut-outs are needed for powerpoints, windows and the rangehood. A backlit glass panel, a feature tile or a stone splashback that wraps to match the benchtop will sit above a plain tiled run, and whether it is a fresh install or a replacement over an existing surface also plays a part. We talk these trade-offs through early so the quote matches the finish you actually want.
We supply and fit kitchen splashbacks for homes right across Sydney, either on their own as a replacement or as part of a full kitchen we build in-house. Send your suburb with your enquiry and we will happily confirm the detail and the best material for your wall.

Good to know
The questions we hear most often, kept close to the service so the brief, scope and next step stay clear before you get in touch.
Most splashbacks are measured up first, then made and fitted in one short visit once the panel or tile is ready. Glass and stone usually need a fabrication lead time after the measure, while a replacement splashback in an existing kitchen is generally a quick install. We confirm timing once the material is chosen.
It depends on the look and how much cleaning you want to do. Glass and stone wipe clean in one pass with no grout lines and suit a sleek, continuous look, while tile gives you more colour and pattern. We help you weigh finish, clean-ability and budget at the measure.
Yes. A replacement splashback is a common job on its own — we remove the old surface, measure up the wall and fit the new glass, tile or stone. It is a straightforward way to freshen a kitchen and we coordinate it around your benchtop and cabinetry colours.
Neither is simply better; they suit different kitchens. Glass gives a smooth, grout-free wall in any colour and can be backlit, which makes it very easy to wipe down behind the cooktop. Tile offers more texture and pattern. We match the choice to your benchtop, cabinetry and how the kitchen is used.
Yes. Stone and porcelain splashbacks can be cut from the same material as the benchtop for a continuous run, and glass or tile can be selected to complement it. We plan the splashback and benchtop together at the measure so the colours and edges line up.
We supply and install kitchen splashbacks for homes right across Sydney, either as a standalone replacement or within a full kitchen we build in-house. Send your suburb with your enquiry and we will happily confirm the detail.

H&R Kitchens made the whole renovation feel a lot less stressful than we expected. They listened to what we wanted, helped us make practical choices, and kept us updated the whole way through. The finished kitchen feels modern but still really suits our home.
We're really happy with the quality of the cabinetry and the attention to detail. A few tricky corners in our kitchen were handled really well, and the final result looks clean, solid, and professionally finished. It's made a huge difference to how we use the space.
