Cabinetry away from the kitchen can hold a room together just as well. This living-room joinery centres on an entertainment wall, with media cabinetry, storage and display shelving measured to the proportions of the space rather than dropped into it. The run is drawn to the wall it sits on, so the lines hold from floor to ceiling.
The material language stays warm and grounded. Timber is paired with darker cabinetry finishes to give the wall weight without making it feel heavy, and open display shelving breaks up the closed storage so the whole run never reads as one solid block.
The storage suits how a Sydney living room is actually used. Media gear and cables tuck away behind closed doors, everyday things stay within reach, and the open shelves leave room for the pieces worth showing. We design, build and install joinery like this with our own team, so what was drawn on the plan is what gets fitted to the room.
